TFSRI Meeting, December 20, 2024. Home Video Night.

Please join us this month as we share videos of our aquaria, water gardens and ponds with each other.

Get out your cell phones and take 1 to 5 minutes of video of your aquaria. At the meeting, we will play the videos and you will tell us about your aquaria. We can also show still photos through our projector.

We are not looking for expertly shot and edited movies voiced by Richard Attenborough (although that is fine if you can pull it off). This is an informal night to show off our aquaria to each other. You don't even need to get up in front of everyone to talk. Just stay in your seat and tell us about your favorite fish, invertebrates, plants or whatever inhabits your aquarium. It doesn't need to be one shot, and you can send me a few clips to put together and show.

You can email them to me at [email protected], or email me and I will send you a Dropbox link for uploading your videos. The deadline is Wednesday at noon. Or, if you have an iPhone we can hook it directly up to the projector and you can play the videos or pictures from your phone. I am not sure if we can do the same with Android phones.

We have done this before and everyone had a lot of fun seeing each other's setups. You are still welcome to attend if you don't want to share a video.

September was also membership renewal month. If you haven't renewed your membership yet please consider renewing it at the meeting. It is also important that we have your current phone number and e-mail address. We do not share this information with anyone. With winter and bad weather on the way it is important that we can notify you if we need to cancel a meeting. Membership is $25 for the year.

We will also have our usual meeting activities. You may bring any fish or plants you are submitting for the BAP or HAP for auction. You may also bring up to 3 lots for a Buck-a-Bag auction. We plan to have refreshments and a short business meeting as well.

The address of our Wednesday meeting is 19 Mohawk Drive, Riverside, Rhode Island. Mohawk Drive is directly off of Rt 114, the Wampanoag Trail in Riverside. Route 114 is a divided road at the entrance to Mohawk Road. If you are coming from the North you need to go past it to the next turnaround, which is on the left just past the "Welcome to Barrington" Sign. After you turn around, Mohawk Road will be on your right a short distance past the "Anchor Bay Assisted Living" sign. There is a Blue and White sign at the entry of Mohawk Road for the Riverside Sportsmans Association. The building is at the end of the road.
